Vacuum boom arm

To keep the hose from being caught on the edge of the bench.  Over the holzapfel bench, which is now a hand power tool bench.  Made from 1" appleply, working good, probably needs a better mechanism for the hose to have some slack when the arm moves.  But overall, really nice and makes hooking up festool power tools really easy.

Didn't finish it, but otherwise, lots of cool joinery.  Walnut sitting bench.

Bathoom 95% finished

Bathroom was finished enough to have people use it.  Other than some of the drywall, everythign was replaced.

Yellow cedar was fine grained, but chipped easily

Got to try a couple of new tools.  A dovetail ruler for my square from Sterling Toolworks.
And a super sharp dovetail but chisel from Blue Spruce

Handle is a bent lamination.  The laminates were resawn on the bandsaw, but I made them too thick.
The curve was too tight and it was way to hard to get them to bend

Removable top till with sliding lid

Small sliding tool till rides on the dual tool racks on both sides.  Also fits in the bottom as shown

Boxes are nailed together with copper rosehead nails.  Handle is wedged into side with scrap cocobolo.
Now here tools are protected.  The tote acts as a toolbox when at rest.  But remove the top till and she can keep the
tools tidy in whatever project around the house she is working on.  This one is too nice to use in the garden, so I've
been asked to make a "rougher" one for the garden.

House projects gallore

Crazy tall scaffolding to paint the ceiling and stair railing.
Also to hang a new chandelier

Cut it down to fit over curved stairs.  Now I know why the the stupid builders
didn't paint the ceiling.  What a joke

Remodeling the bathroom.  It's from the 90s, could you have guessed?

shower one piece gone and backer board down.  Notice the plumbing for hot and
cold is coming out of the subfloor instead of being supported in between studs.
Hacks avoided the stud bay because there was an electrical box there.  Oops

Water pressure test.  Soon to come the backer board, tile and more.

Scrap wood project

A scrapwood project I made at the beginning of the year

A little scrap walnut that I made a wax holder from.  Inspired from those roubo pictures where they keep their tallow.  Handy so that I can keep things buttoned up and buttoned down when running the leaf blower in the garage to clear the dust.
